Grand
Valley State University wanted the best when it came to the
complicated HVAC systems in their
Lake Michigan Center. That is why they went with Grand Valley
Automation, Inc. for their temperature control contractor. GVA
put their 200 plus combined years of experience to work, providing
Grand Valley State University with a quality TAC LonMark compliant
DDC system.
Phoenix Controls provided
the fume hoods. The TAC DDC system monitors the fume hoods CFM
usage and then regulates
the VFD on the AHU
accordingly. The DDC system also monitors the humidity in the
lab areas.
Pressurization is critical
when it comes to laboratories. The TAC DDC system monitors the Laboratory
Airflow Control System
and then
modulates the exhaust fan bypass dampers to maintain a negative
pressure within the laboratory.
The TAC Vista Webstation
is on a file server connected to Grand
Valley State University’s Ethernet system. The Webstation
allows GVSU to access information in the TAC Vista server via
a normal web-browser connected to the network. Function screens,
alarm list and trend logs are easily made available for selected
personnel at any campus. Daily operations are taken care of simply
with a well-known user interface. |
